Staatliche Museen zu Berlin

Next to the recently reopened National Gallery at Berlin’s Kulturforum, the Museum of the 20th Century is being built. During the construction period, the walls of the construction fences will be used for artistic installations. The signage system I developed at Smith Berlin guides visitors around the construction site to the museums and cultural sites and emphasises that they will remain open despite the construction work. The side facing St. Matthew's Church, provides information about the history of the Kulturforum. The design of the signage system is matched to the aesthetics of the construction site and stands unobtrusively next to the artistic installations.
